EWI OF TULSA 2021-2022 PRESIDENT
____________________________________
Hello EWI of Tulsa.

November is here and I hope this finds each of you healthy and well. I am honored and humbled to serve as your 2021-2022 Chapter President. Our chapter is an amazing group of women and I am excited for what we will accomplish this coming year. The theme I have chosen for my Board is “Together we can do great things.” It is one of my favorite quotes from Mother Theresa and exemplifies what EWI is to me: a group of diverse, intelligent, professional women who come together to network, collaborate, and serve our community. And we do it well.

I have set some goals for my Board to achieve this year and would like to share the two that are most important to me. The first is to retain and grow our chapter membership. The EWI of Tulsa chapter is very strong and resilient. We are weathering the pandemic mightily and have remained engaged with each other. Retention and growth are vital to any chapter. I remember recently hearing past EWI Corporate President Felicia Senter say “In EWI we all serve on the membership committee.” Indeed. Let’s work together to retain and grow our chapter membership.

My second goal is to build robust Board Committees. Committee service can be very rewarding. It provides an avenue for personal and professional growth and opportunities to collaborate with other members. Committee service also allows you to share your talents and bring fresh ideas to the table. Please consider serving on a committee. We will have committee sign-ups at our November Chapter meeting.

Lastly, I want to thank Reta Jay for asking me to serve as her Vice President on her 2020-2021 Board. I value her steady and positive leadership style, as well as the friendship. Thank you, Reta.

Looking forward to seeing you at our November Chapter Meeting.

Together we can do great things!

2021-2022 Installation of EWI Board of Directors
  • The meal was delicious & service was extraordinary.
  • Best meal yet!
  • Summit is always a beautiful place to have a meeting.
  • Loved all of the Mother Teresa quotes, it was all so very well done. May be my favorite installation yet!
  • The Installation was professionally conducted.
  • The program was well thought out and well organized.
Comments/Suggestions:
  • Would love to see the after hours events come back. Or maybe offer volunteer opportunities outside of the Chapter meetings so everyone has a chance to get together more than just once a month. We could have a group event at the Tulsa Food Bank, doesn't have to be something big or complex

Oklahoma Cabins to Book This Winter

Cooler temps are finally here in Oklahoma, and I don’t know about you, but I personally love camping in the fall and winter much more than in the summertime! The weather allows for more time spent hiking and being active outside without the bugs and snakes you may get at many Oklahoma campsites and state parks.

This fall and winter, consider booking a staycation at one of Oklahoma’s many cabin rentals across the state.

Here are a few to consider when booking your stay:

Broken Bow: Beaver’s Bend State Park

Davis: Turner Falls Park

Ardmore: Lake Murray State Park
