Greetings Tulsa EWI Chapter!
Happy February!! I hope January allowed you to reflect on all the joys that 2022 brought you and your families. It is essential to take time for yourself and INVEST in yourself.
 
Christine Laird, EWI’s Corporate President, set this year’s focus to incorporate these three words:  INVEST, IGNITE, IMPACT.  Strangely enough, my word for 2023 is INVEST. How can you be healthy enough to care for others if you cannot invest in yourself?  Several years ago, I started using a word as my theme for the year. I used to create a new year’s resolution every year in January but quickly realized I never succeeded with any of them. I began feeling like I was just setting myself up for failure by creating a resolution. I would encourage everyone to claim a word to focus on this year.
 
As a Chapter, I would like for us to also lean into Corporate President Christine Laird’s focus to INVEST in each other and the future of this chapter through effective programs and networking opportunities, IGNITE the passion and fuel action to increase membership and build connections with our fellow members not only locally but regionally and IMPACT the Tulsa community through our exceptional programs such as EWISP, ASIST, and Reading Rally.
 
Our January meeting about vision boards was very encouraging. Lori Kroh’s presentation was very engaging and created excitement within me to get my visions down on paper. How about you? Look for a Vision Board 2.0 meeting for those that would like to have hands-on time with Lori and time to create your board.
 
Our February Chapter Meeting will be on Thursday, February 9th, at the Tulsa City-County Library in downtown Tulsa. This meeting will be all about connecting and networking with your fellow EWI members.
